Christmas Time!

Hello all! I haven't written in a while, it has been a busy couple of weeks. I started a new job; I am now working with Jayson at RR Donnelley. For those who don't know what they do, it's pretty simple. Our machines put together things like Verizon bills and send them to the Post Office so they can be sent to their customers. It's a pretty easy job--I just check the numbers and make sure that the right pieces of mail are going into the right containers. Hopefully I will only be working there until after I graduate (which is coming up soon!!!) and then I can get a job in the medical field while I wait for nursing school to start. Anyway, like I said, it has been busy.

Some new things that have happened since I posted last:

Jayson, my ever so loving husband, bought me a brand new car!! Our old one was giving us some problems and I wasn't really happy with it (long story) so he signed to buy me a new one. It is a 2010 black Hyundai Elantra Blue. We bought it two days before Thanksgiving and I couldn't love it more! Jayson wasn't too attached to it right away but now I find him taking my keys so he can drive it to class, haha. I was going to post some pictures on here but with all the snow and stuff, it looks really dirty so once I can wash it, I will get some pictures up.

We also have a new dog! She is a four month old Boxer. She is such a sweetheart. Her name is Annie. (Get it? Annie (our new dog) and Oakley (my ShihTzu)? Annie Oakley?? Haha!) She is so much fun to watch. She is still very uncoordinated and walks really funny because of her long legs.

The second picture is Annie trying to scratch her neck (she didn't like the collar) with her back leg.
Oakley likes having a playmate. They yank on each others collars and play tug-o-war with their toys. It's really funny. When they aren't playing with each other, they are sleeping on either side of me on the couch. Tired lil' puppies. :)

Let's see, what else is new. Oh! We went and took my little brother and sister (the twins) to see Santa yesterday! That was exciting. It was an adventurous day. Kaycee got her glasses on and she looked so cute in them! After that was done, we met my other sisters (Chelsea, 16 and Sydney, 11) at the mall with my mom and dad. The little ones were excited to go see Santa but once we got there, Kaycee became the shiest little girl I have ever seen. Tristan almost made it to Santa's lap but even Sydney sitting next to Santa didn't really help. It was cute; it'll be interesting to see what happens next year when they are a little older!

Let's see. I think that almost catches us up. It's Christmas break from school; it is nice having Jayson home during the day. I have had an online class so I don't have to go to campus like him this month. I am down to the last couple classes!! I only have two more months of class and then I do my externship. I should be done by April and then I officially graduate May 21, 2010. I am getting so antsy! I start applying for nursing school in Jan./Feb. so that will be another nerve-wracking disorder to go through, haha. I am excited to start something new but it'll be much tougher than the degree I am going for right now. That'll be a good thing though; I have gotten almost bored with this one. I definitely need to go for my RN!

Jayson and I are super excited for Christmas this year! We both have finished our shopping for each other. We even went and had professional pictures done (courtesy of WalMart, haha) so once I get those back, I will post some on here. I can't wait to watch Jayson opens his presents. I have managed to successfully keep his present a secret for over a month now! Just 2 1/2 more days!! He will be so excited. I can't wait. He is just as excited to give me my presents; he was very proud of himself for his "thrifty" shopping. :)

Anyway, I am pretty sure that is it. Sorry it has taken so long for me to write this month. Hopefully I will be a little better but January is going to be just as crazy. We are required to work 7 days a week because of tax season so I won't have a day off. It should be interesting. Jayson has worked one before but I haven't so hopefully, on February 1st, I will still be gracing the planet! Give our love to everyone and I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas! I know we will!!!! Love you all! :)

Christmas Decorating!

Well, we are a few days early but we decorated our first Christmas tree today. Our apartment is pretty crowded now but that's okay. It's nice to have our own tree; last Christmas, I was still with my mom for the Christmas season so I didn't have to buy one. Jayson apparently has an obsessive compulsive disorder that I didn't know about until today. I have never seen someone so meticulous about decorating a Christmas tree! All in all though, it looks great and he did a wonderful job. Oakley, our dog, couldn't get enough of all the new smells and enjoyed the day much like we did.

We got some cute new ornaments, and, being as this is our first Christmas technically together, I had to get one. Of course, Jayson thought I was a little weird but I think he is getting used to that :) My next goal is to start my Christmas cards so I can get them sent out in time. Big project but since my job is on a hiatus right now, I don't do much after school except wait for Jayson to get home from work.

At the risk of showing how obsessed I am, I took my little sisters Chelsea (15) and Sydney (11) to New Moon last night. That was absolutely amazing. We waited outside, in line, for over an hour-that was just to get inside the building since we already had our tickets. There was easily a couple hundred people waiting to see the movie and it was the second night it was in theaters. I'm so glad I didn't go opening night...I'm not THAT crazy!!! I'm going again tomorrow night because Jayson loves me ever-so-much. As I was expecting, there were several parts I wish they would have put in the movie from the book but there were also some really neat and interesting parts they put in that weren't in the book at all; guess that makes for a good balance. It was fun though and it was nice to spend some time with my little sisters.

Anyway, I'm going to go continue enjoying the night with Jayson. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care :)

Welcome!

Hello everyone! I am somewhat new to the whole "blogging" thing but I figured I am on the computer so much with everything else anyway, I might as well start a blog about us. I will try and keep it updated with the important information so our families can stay up to date (if they want). I hope everyone is doing well and their holidays are starting off the right way. Jayson and I are planning on doing our own thing for Thanksgiving this year (we'll see if my Thanksgiving dinner will even be edible!!!) so it should be fun. This is our first holiday season together since we got married so we're both pretty excited. I will post pictures if we get some. Give our greetings and love to your families. Talk to you soon!
